Advertiser Disclosure

Last updated

PetExperta is a free resource for pet owners. The site is funded by display advertising, and this page explains how that works so you can tell what is editorial content and what is not.

How we earn money

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google selects the ads automatically, and they may be based on the page you are reading, your general location and, where your settings allow it, your interests. Ads load only after you start interacting with a page, for example by scrolling.

What advertising does not do

  • Advertisers do not review, approve or influence our articles before or after publication.
  • We do not sell sponsored articles, paid placements or paid product reviews.
  • An advertisement on a page is not an endorsement by PetExperta of the product or service shown, and we cannot vouch for it.
  • Our guidance on pet health and safety is never changed to suit an advertiser.

Product mentions

Some guides mention types of products, such as litter, cat trees, rugs or bird cages, because readers ask about them. Those mentions are editorial. We do not currently take commission on purchases made through links in our articles; if that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the page concerned and update this disclosure.

Your choices

You can manage personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings or learn how Google uses data in advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. More detail on cookies is in our privacy policy.

Questions

If you see an ad that you believe is inappropriate or misleading, email info@petexperta.com with the page address and a description, and we will look into it. See also our editorial policy.
