Editorial Policy & Advertising Disclosure
PetExperta exists to give pet owners clear, trustworthy information. This page explains the standards we follow when we publish and update our guides.
Our standards
- Answer the real question. Each guide starts from a specific question owners ask and aims to answer it near the top of the page.
- Use reliable sources. We base health, nutrition and behaviour information on published veterinary and animal-welfare guidance rather than anecdotes.
- Put safety first. When a situation could be urgent, such as a pet eating something toxic, our guides say clearly that you should contact a vet, and we do not suggest home remedies in place of professional care.
- Be clear about uncertainty. Where evidence is limited or opinions differ, we say so.
Who writes our content
Articles are produced by the PetExperta editorial team. Our writers and editors are pet owners and researchers, not veterinarians, which is why every guide carries a veterinary disclaimer and directs readers to professional help when it is needed.
Updates and corrections
We review guides periodically and when readers report problems. Each article displays the date it was last updated. If you find an error, email info@petexperta.com with the page address and the issue. Material corrections are made promptly.
Advertising disclosure
PetExperta is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Ads are chosen automatically by Google and are clearly separate from our articles. Advertisers do not see articles before publication and have no say in what we cover or conclude.
We do not publish sponsored posts or paid reviews, and we do not currently use affiliate links. When a guide mentions a brand or product, it is for illustration or comparison only and is not a paid endorsement. Always check product labels and talk to your vet before changing your pet's food, medication or care routine.
